Girls Volleyball Wins 1st Round State Playoff Match
The 2016 Ontario Christian Girls Varsity Volleyball team, who already made history just by advancing to the CIF State playoffs, won their 1st round regional playoff match in convincing fashion. The Knights, who came in as the #6 seed in the Division IV state southern region took on the Minaret HS Mustangs who were this years Champions of the CIF Central Section. The Knights took the match in three straight sets (25-15, 25-15, 25-9) in front of a supportive home crowd and enthusiastic student section. The Knights will move on to face league foe Notre Dame Riverside HS in a rematch of the CIF-SS semi final last Tuesday that saw the Titans came out on top in a tight 3-2 match at Ontario Christian. The two teams will face off once again, this time at Notre Dame HS on Saturday, November 19 @ 7:00 pm.
