Boys Cross Country: A Historic Season

The 2025-26 Ontario Christian Boys Cross Country team delivered one of the greatest seasons in program history, establishing new standards of excellence both individually and collectively while striving to honor Christ through their commitment, perseverance, and teamwork.

The Knights’ success was built on exceptional depth, leadership, and consistency throughout the season. Their league championship, CIF runner-up finish, and state qualification highlighted the team’s collective strength, while numerous individual honors showcased the talent within the program. With six First Team All-Ambassador League selections, the league’s Runner of the Year in Joshua Mulder, and Coach of the Year Jon Schaap leading the way, the team established itself as one of the most accomplished squads in school history.

Beyond the awards and accolades, the boys cross country team embodied Ontario Christian’s mission of pursuing excellence for the glory of God. Their season reflected the truth of Hebrews 12:1, which encourages believers to “run with perseverance the race marked out for us.” Through countless miles of training, unwavering support for one another, and a commitment to honoring Christ in competition, the Knights demonstrated that true success is found not only in victories and records, but in faithfully using their God-given talents to impact others and glorify Him.
