Knights Skill Players Compete with Grit at Kings River Rumble.
.
Ontario Christian’s skill players showcased resilience, competitiveness, and brotherhood this weekend at the Kings River Rumble in Reedley, California. The Knights split into two 7-on-7 teams, giving athletes the opportunity to gain valuable reps against quality competition throughout the day.
The first Ontario Christian squad put together an impressive tournament run, defeating Avenal in the opening round of the Silver Division playoffs before knocking off host Immanuel in the semifinals, a double overtime thriller where the Knights bested the Eagles. Ontario Christian battled their way to the championship game before ultimately falling short in the finals, finishing as Silver Division runners-up.
Meanwhile, the second Knights squad embraced one of the toughest schedules of the day, competing against varsity-level teams from start to finish. Despite facing older and more experienced opponents, the group proved they belonged. All four losses came by a single score, demonstrating the growth, competitiveness, and fight that defined their performance throughout the tournament.
As our program continues to embrace the 2026 theme, RESTORE, every rep and every challenge provides an opportunity to build a stronger foundation. The results were encouraging, but the effort, growth, and brotherhood displayed by these young men were the true victories of the weekend.
The future is bright, and the work continues.
