The 2025-26 Ontario Christian Girls Cross Country team delivered a memorable season marked by determination, resilience, and historic accomplishments. Despite competing with a relatively small roster, the Knights proved that commitment and teamwork can produce extraordinary results.
Team Accomplishments
- Qualified for the CIF State Championships as a team for the first time in approximately 20 years
- Recorded what is believed to be the second-fastest team performance in Ontario Christian history
- Demonstrated remarkable depth and competitiveness despite a small roster
- Three athletes earned All-League recognition
- Continued to elevate the standard for girls cross country at Ontario Christian
Individual Highlights
- Abbey Frailing became the second-fastest runner in Ontario Christian history
- Abbey Frailing, Natalia Barraza, and Hannah Ledford earned All-Ambassador League honors
The Knights’ season was defined by perseverance and a commitment to excellence. Their historic return to the CIF State Championships showcased the growth of the program and the dedication of every athlete on the team. While small in numbers, the girls consistently competed with confidence and determination against larger programs throughout the season.
Beyond the results, the team embodied the message found in Galatians 6:9: “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Through hard work, faith, and unwavering support for one another, the girls cross country team demonstrated that God can accomplish great things through a group committed to pursuing Him and giving their best in every race.
